Serdar Yılmaz: Find Your Way

Overview
Serdar Yılmaz is at Pi Artworks Tophane with his solo exhibition titled "Find Your Way" between the dates January 8th - March 23rd, 2013.

In his recent series "Find Your Way", Serdar Yılmaz walks about the boundaries between video, short film, installation, photography and painting. The artist produces with the interdisciplinary methods and follows up the traces of the fragmented structure of watching at our age.

The exhibition includes Yılmaz's videos titled "Stairs" and "Fried Chicken", besides the works he produced in parallel with the videos. The artist dramatically interrupts the ordinary reality reflected in his videos with the imaginary elements and characters he creates. By adopting various techniques and materials in his works, he transfers the atmosphere observed in the videos to the gallery space and this helps the audience involved in the project. The series containing elements from different disciplines convey the "road stories" of the artist who is a traveler.
