Fatma Bucak: Somewhere in Between, curated by Eva Eriksdotter and Ulrika Flink

Somewhere in Between is a group exhibition that through primarily moving image explores memories and landscape, national identity and the role of myth in history writing. This exhibition invites Swedish and international artists who through their work explore language and power, pacing and duration, the freedom of art, censorship, migrants path through landscapes and borders, a found copy of Picassos Guernica and how conflict can divide families and friends.
 
Fatma Bucak investigates the fragility, tension, and irreversibility of history, the power of testimony and memory in her practice she often questions traditional forms of history-making with the works 342 Names, A sentiment lurking at the edge of my conscious, De Silencio, Scouring the press in the exhibition.
