Presented by MoCA Shanghai in collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London, and the Shanghai International Culture Association, Codes of Tides is a multimedia exhibition exploring liquid systems, data flows, AI, and visualisation. It brings together ten artists from Shanghai and London working across video, installation, painting, and photography to investigate the intersections of technology, ecology, finance, biology, and the humanities.
The exhibition is co-curated by Miriam Sun (MoCA Shanghai), William Latham (Goldsmiths), and JC Zheng (Goldsmiths), with Frederic Fol Leymarie as Academic Chair.

Codes of Tides marks MoCA Shanghai’s 20th anniversary and serves as the London launch of a multi-year research collaboration between MoCA Shanghai and Goldsmiths. A follow-on exhibition, Endless Tides, will open at MoCA Shanghai in September 2025
