Pi Artworks will be hosting Turan Aksoys' Glowing Thing exhibition in April 2010 at both of its Galleries in Tophane-Istanbul.  Glowing Thing reflects on the issues and the concepts that  Aksoy  has  been involved in the years 2008-09. 

Aksoy groups the exhibition under three main headings: chaotic but sterile (present time definitions in the nature of contemporary politics, problems and experiences)  the glowing thing (examining, defining love through different concepts) and the video works that focus on the inevitable daily concepts such as longing, violance and deception.

Aksoy will also be presenting early drawings and skecthes to give audience  broader view to the concepts and thoughs that he has worked with.

Turan Aksoy  was born in 1965 in Erzincan. He studied painting in Gazi University then did his M.F.A and P.H.D at the University of Central England in U.K. He has been working as a lecturer in various Universities in Istanbul since 1997.

Glowing thing will run at Pi Artworks Gallery 1 and 2 between March 23rd and  April 22nd 2010. Gallery hours are everyday 10:30 - 19:30 except Sundays.
